Topaz Drop Earrings • Birthstone
This design features a very lightweight, authentic, raw Topaz crystal falling 1.5 inches below your ear. The detail is beautiful in these, with chain also falling from the back of your ear, with a thin rod at the end of it.
Each pair of earrings is handmade using raw, natural crystals. The beauty of this is that every pair will turn out perfectly unique.
The Process:
The stones are searched through, hand-selecting the ones that will be prettiest for these earrings. Attention is given to make sure that the prettiest side is facing outward, the setting is carefully shaped and then painted with conductive paint. Using an electric current, copper deposits onto the setting for 12+ hours. This slow build up of metal creates a unique and organic looking setting that very securely holds the stones in place. The little Topaz pendants are tumbled, hand-polished, and plated in the thickest possible plating of sterling silver, 18k gold or rose gold, then attached to the solid sterling silver or gold/rose gold filled ear wires and chain. Long story short... a whole lot of time and love is put into these little beauties!
