A completely one of a kind necklace, designed to represent the people that you love most. I can do any combination of months or stones that are meaningful to you.
Examples: the birthstones of your children, your own birthstone, spouse’s birthstone, white crystal(s) to represent infant loss or miscarriage, the month of your wedding anniversary, etc. We can do all the same birthstone across, a couple birthstones repeating themselves, birthstones in center with quartz crystals on either side, etc. The number of stones will vary depending on how big the stones are that are used, but the width of the bar is always 2 inches.
The pendant falls from solid silver, gold filled, or rose gold filled chain. This gorgeous chain is very high quality, comfortable to wear, and made with soldered links to prevent breaking. Chain is 15 inches (not including the 2 inches of bar) + 3 inch extender which is what I personally find to be the best length for this piece. If you would like a different length for the chain, just leave a note during checkout requesting that. All Little Sycamore jewelry is lead & nickel free.
The process: A lot of time is spent choosing stones that will puzzle piece into each other across the bar. If an Instagram username is written in the notes during checkout, we send a little sneak peek video of the piece. It's carefully painted with conductive paint, then using an electric current, metal deposits onto the base of the stones for 12+ hours. This slow build up of metal creates a unique and organic looking setting that very securely holds the stones in place. The bar is tumbled, hand-polished, and plated in the thickest possible plate of gold, rose gold, or left as is in solid sterling silver. The finished pendant is then attached to solid sterling silver, gold filled, or rose gold filled chain. Long story short... a whole lot of time and love is put into this little beauty!
